Vintage 2009 has a very rich, elegant and balanced fruit flavors with hints of flowers, oak and a long finish.

Wine Chateau La Tonnelle, Cru Bourgeois, Haut-Medos AOC is a blend of three varieties, which is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are present and Petit Verdot. The grapes are harvested from vines with an average age of 25 years, but there are berries from old vines 40 years. Vintage 2009 is considered the best in recent years. Carefully selected grapes is fermented and maceration for 3-4 weeks with a daily double pumping to extract maximum color and flavor. Then the wine is aged one year in oak barrels. "Chateau La Tonnelle" has a wonderful storage capacity, after several years of which tannic structure softens and gives way to a charming velvety taste.
In the XIX century vineyard Chateau La tunnel was part of the lands Picourneau. It is known that in 1850 the famous wine Picourneau took first place in the commune of Vertheuil, as evidenced by the record in the "Guide Fere." Since 1982, Chateau La Tunnel Fabre belongs to the family, which also owns a nice Chateau Lamothe Cissac. Fabre family transplanted vineyards and built a new winery for wine Chateau again ranked among the best. The vineyards are located in the hills of the village of Vertheuil, 8 kilometers west of Saint-Estephe, on the fertile layer of gravel, resting on deep clay and gravelly subsoil. The roots of the vines are able to penetrate deep into this great terroir that gives tannins and sweet style, so characteristic of wines O'Medok. Vineyard area is 29 hectares. Here are grown Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Merlot (35%) and Petit Verdot (5%).
