In the XIX century vineyard Chateau La tunnel was part of the lands Picourneau. It is known that in 1850 the famous wine Picourneau took first place in the commune of Vertheuil, as evidenced by the record in the "Guide Fere." Since 1982, Chateau La Tunnel Fabre belongs to the family, which also owns a nice Chateau Lamothe Cissac. Fabre family transplanted vineyards and built a new winery for wine Chateau again ranked among the best. The vineyards are located in the hills of the village of Vertheuil, 8 kilometers west of Saint-Estephe, on the fertile layer of gravel, resting on deep clay and gravelly subsoil.
