Reviews of purchase Chateau Gilette, Sauternes AOC, 1988
Wine golden-yellow color.
The wine has a powerful, elegant, deep, complex, attractive taste with balanced acidity and layered tones of candied fruits, honey, raisins, toasted almonds and floral notes, a long clean finish.
Incredibly young aroma of the wine reveals notes of citrus (orange and lemon) and creme brulee.
The wine goes well with delicate fruit desserts, sponge cake and sand, as well as foie gras, blue cheese and white meat poultry, cooked on the coals.
