Wine "Chateau De Villegeorge" Cru Bourgeois Superieur, Haut Medoc AOC

In the XVIII century wine Chateau De Villegeorge were widely known for its quality wines on par with 3-eme Grand Cru Classe. In 1880, the family acquired the estate Clauzel, which turned the chateau into a model vineyard. When the committee of Bordeaux wines created in 1932 the degree of Cru Bourgeois, Château de Vilzhorzh was awarded the status of Exceptional Growth (exceptional growth). This status was confirmed in 1966. Quality deep gravel soils did not go unnoticed and in 1973 Lucien Lurton bought the estate, proceed immediately to recover it. Later, when Lucien shared all their possessions among the children, Chateau De Villegeorge taken over by Marie-Laure Lurton. Marie-Laure was a qualified oenologist and worked with his father in 1986. In 1997, the winery was established automated recycling center production. In 2003, wine Chateau De Villegeorge was given the status of Cru Bourgeois Superieur.
