The wine shows a generous, fruity taste with a great balanced acidity, notes of red berries, anise, which gradually becomes a long aftertaste.

Interesting Facts
Chateau Dalem - luxurious red wine made from a blend of two grape varieties - Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grown on clay-limestone soils in the commune of Saillans. The average age of the vines is 45 years. Harvesting is done by hand in small boxes of berries to reach optimal maturity. In 2012, the collection was held from 10 to 16 October. Grapes is carefully sorted, then the berries are fermented in concrete vats with integrated regulators. Maceration lasts 3-4 weeks. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barriques. Wine is aged 18 months in French oak barrels, 40% of them are updated annually. Potential wine Chateau Dalem is 5-7 years.
Producer's description
Chateau Dalem is one of the oldest chateaux in Bordeaux appellasone. The origins of the leaves in the remote 1610. In 1955 the estate acquired Michel Rullier, who has upgraded and improved winemaking process. In 2002, he was joined by daughter Bridget, having taken the reins in their hands. She brought the wine Château Dalem new, higher level. In the possession of the family is Rullier vineyard area of 33 acres, which is located high on a plateau of Fronsac, and Chateau de la Huste, which is family owned since 1860.
