Wine rich dark garnet color.
The wine has a very dense taste - a harmonious, juicy, with great potential, well integrated tannins, hints of fruit, cedar, silk finish with hints of oak.
The wine has a rich aroma with notes of sweet black currant, cherry liqueur, dried herbs, pepper and minerals.

The founder of Chateau Cos d'Esturnel Louis Gaspard d'Esturnel, born in 1762, the year of the reign of Louis XV and lived 91 years there was only one passion: Chateau Cos. Having inherited a small vineyard, in 1811 he produced the first wine and decided to devote himself vinification, experimenting with varieties and their treatment. Fast enough wine Cos d'Estournel surpassed in popularity many of the most prestigious wines and even began to export to India. Louis was nicknamed "the Maharajah of Saint-Estèphe."
