The wine is dark plum purple.
Guilt is inherent in a rich, fleshy, concentrated, balanced flavor with hints of black cherry, smoke, mocha, dried strawberry, tobacco, exotic species of trees and long finish with hints of sandalwood.
Wine Aroma captivating shades of earth, spice, vanilla, black tea, sandalwood, cherry and redcurrant.
The wine is an excellent match with black truffles, stews, meat fillet or rump steak, Cote de Boeuf, lamb leg, duck confit and hard cheeses.
Chateau Certan de May de Certan, Pomerol AOC - the first wine sector with a high percentage of Merlot (70%). Harvesting is done by hand. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks for 4-6 weeks followed by maceration, which lasts 5 weeks. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 16 months. The wine is recommended to drink over the next 20 years.
Chateau Certan de May was founded in 1745. The estate takes its name from a Scottish family Demay, who established themselves in Pomerol since the late 16th century. In 1925, the last family member died Demay, and has since been owned by the family Chateau Barreau-Badar. Chateau Certan de May is located on the right bank of Bordeaux wine region, in the heart of Pomrolskogo plateau between Petrus and Vieux Chateau Certan, opposite Le Pin.
Vineyard estate covers 5 acres of land, planted with 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines have an average age of 40 years, they are planted on clay and gravel soils. Every year it produces about 24,000 bottles.
