Wine "Chalk Hill" Shiraz, 2014
Reviews of purchase "Chalk Hill" Shiraz, 2014
The wine is deep purple with red highlights.
The taste of wine is pleasant, vibrating, well balanced, with layers of notes of red and black fruits, hints of chocolate and coffee, a lingering aftertaste.
The bright aroma of the wine is dominated by tones of black raspberries and flowers, which complement the shades of earth and spices.
The wine goes well with fried ribs with crispy potatoes with garlic, grilled lamb.
"Chalk Hill" Shiraz - an attractive red dry wine with a bright aroma and a soft, vibrant fruity taste. The wine is made from Shiraz grapes, whose yield in 2014 was very low, but the collected fruits showed an intense aroma and rich texture. Shiraz came into the 2014 blend from three premium vineyards, the age of the vines on which is 25-45 years. After fermentation, the wine was aged 15 months in new (20%) and previously used French barrels. The potential for wine storage is 5-7 years.
The 2014 vintage won the gold medal at the AWC Vienna International Wine Challenge and the silver medal at the San Francisco International Wine Competition.
