Reviews of purchase Chalk Hill, "Luna" Shiraz, 2015
The wine is dark purple with red highlights.
The taste of wine is explosive, vibrating, with notes of red fruits, a silky texture and bright but harmonious tannins that linger in the aftertaste.
The fragrant aroma of the wine is filled with tones of red fruits and berries, floral notes, nuances of roasted nuts and spices.
The wine goes well with chorizo, pasta with basil, lamb cutlets.
"Luna" Shiraz - bright, juicy, vibrating red wine with rich fruit and berry tones and young tannins. The wine is made from Shiraz grapes and a small fraction of Barbera harvested from three premium plots, the age of the vines on which is 12-22 years. Each grade is vinified separately. Excerpt takes place in oak barrels, with older barrels used for ripening Barbera than for Shiraz. The potential for wine storage is 5-7 years.
Vintage 2015 won a gold medal at the Frankfurt International Trophy, 2018, silver medals at the San Francisco International Wine Competition and AWC Vienna International Wine Challenge.
