Wine Cave de Turckheim, Gewurztraminer Reserve, Alsace AOC, 2015
Reviews of purchase Cave de Turckheim, Gewurztraminer Reserve, Alsace AOC, 2015
The wine is straw-yellow color with golden highlights.
The wine has an elegant, fresh, sweetish taste, with a pleasant, "crispy" acidity, delicate accents of ripe fruit and notes of white flowers at the heart of the flavor chord. Balanced aftertaste shades touches vanilla.
The aroma of wine is dominated by candied accents, notes of peach and sweet pear, touches of dried apricots and caramel. Refinement notes give a note of minerals and spices.
Wine can be served with fish dishes, grilled chicken and white meat dishes. It will also reveal its taste characteristics well with desserts, savory pastries and fruits.
Refined semi-sweet wine Cave de Turckheim, Gewurztraminer Reserve, Alsace AOC is created from the Gewurztraminer variety grown in the Alsace region. The vines grow on soils rich in sandstone and gravel, which explains the mild taste and mineral character of the wine. Vinification is carried out in the traditional way by pressing using a pneumatic press, fermentation in conditions of thermal control and aging on the lees. Before bottling the wine is filtered. The development potential of Cav de Turkam, Gewurztraminer Reserve is 3-5 years.
Initially, the philosophy of the cooperative Cave de Turckheim was based on passion, respect for the vine, heritage preservation, dynamic development and innovation. It was established in 1955 to improve the reputation of Alsace wines. Currently, 216 farms are engaged in growing vines to the northwest of Colmar on the sunny slopes of Türkheim, paying special attention to the quality of grapes.
Michel Lichrmann, who has been the senior winemaker of Cave de Turckheim for more than 25 years, is firmly convinced that the quality of the wine is already laid in the berries themselves, so the transition to sustainable farming practices, biodiversity conservation and environmental protection was logical. The cooperative offers a wide range of wines in different styles, which is promoted by more than 20 different types of soil in the region. The co-ordination of the actions of all its members and attentive attitude to detail is evidenced by numerous medals and awards of Cave de Turckheim products.
