Red dry wine "Malandrino" Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC from the winery Cataldi Madonna represents the region of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. Here, on the Adriatic coast, on sites with a north-western disposition, the same grape variety is grown. After harvesting, the berries are gently pressed, the wort is macerated 18-21 days with regular distillation. After alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, the wine is partially weathered in steel and partly in cement tanks.
In the translation from Italian "malandrino" means "sham, rascal". With this name the wine was christened spontaneously, during the dinner of the owners of the winery with friends. To some extent it reflects the playful, but refined character of the Malandrino wine of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo , its rich flavor and firm aroma.
