Reviews of purchase Castelgiocondo Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva, 2003, 1.5 L
Wine brilliant ruby color with garnet rim.
The wine has a smooth vkus- warm, with lively acidity and fine-grained tannins. Very long aftertaste with notes of ripe fruit.
The wine has a pleasant, complex aroma with notes of red and black forest fruits (blackberries and wild strawberries), which are replaced by notes of plum and cherry liqueur. Also there are notes of spices, vanilla, roasted coffee beans and tobacco leaves with subtle hints of balsam and mineral tint in the background.
Wine is perfect for meat dishes and aged cheeses.
