Interesting Facts
"Carmel" Limited Edition - ultra premium wine, the flagship brand "Carmel". The wine is made from Bordeaux blend elegantly furnished "old world". Grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc grown in the Upper Galilee region. Aged for 15 months in small French oak barrels, the wine has a deep purple color, rich aroma with notes of black plum, violets and tobacco leaves and rich, but very elegant and perfectly balanced between fruity, tannins and acidity taste. With excellent storage capacity for 10-15 years, "Carmel" Limited Edishn will continue to improve and develop in the bottle. The label depicts the wine cellars in Rishon Le Zion.
Producer's description
Carmel Winery - Israeli wine company, founded in 1882. The founder is Baron Edmond de Rothschild, who at the time already owned Château Lafite. Today the company has two of the largest wineries in Israel - one in Zichron Ya'acov, south of Haifa, the second - in Rishon Le Zion, south of Tel Aviv, as well as two small winery equipped with the latest technology: Kayoumi in the Upper Galilee and Yatir in the northeastern Negev. Vineyards of the total area of 1400 ha stretches from the Negev to the Upper Galilee. All wines are Kosher Lemahadrin category, they are allowed to use the orthodox Jews. Annually, the company produces 15 million bottles of wine.
Lior Lakser - oenologist, who in 2003 began to cooperate with the Carmel Winery, and since 2005 is the main enologist company. He collaborated with Domaine Comte Armand and Chateau le Bon Pasteur, worked with the legendary Michel Rolland and honed his skills in Harman's Ridge Estate in Australia. Under his leadership, work best eight winemakers work closely with a team of expert growers.
