A wonderful red wine Rocca Rubia is made from the best grapes, which grows in the lower part of the district Sulcis. The Cantina di Santadi winery is located in the Sulcis region, in the southwestern part of Sardinia, close to the magnificent beaches and sand dunes of Porto Pino. The winery was founded in 1960 and initially experienced some difficulties. The subsequent management, through their determination, enthusiasm and passion, managed to breathe new life into the business. Thus, the company Cantina Santadi embarked on a new program, the main goal of which was the production of high-quality wines, especially red ones, as well as the cultivation and promotion of the local grape variety, Carignano, without forgetting the white varieties: Vermentino, Nuragus and Nasco. Winemaking technologies were greatly improved thanks to the advice of international wine expert Giacomo Takis, whose arrival at the company was a turning point.
