Producer's description
Cantine Risveglio is a winery founded by a group of Brindisi winemakers in 1958. In those years, agricultural rationalization policies encouraged the creation of collective enterprises to improve the position of farmers in national markets. For 20 years the company was headed by Antonio di Giulio, an oenologist farmer. In 1964, a new grape processing plant was opened.
In 1983, Antonio di Giulio handed over the reins to his fellow oenologist and pulmonary doctor, Fortunato Palosha. In 1996, Antonio returns to the business with his grandson, Giovanni, who was in charge of the company until 2006. Today, Cantine Risveglio is run by Giovanni Nardelli, an agronomist with a passion for viticulture.
