Reviews of purchase Cantine Riondo, "Castelforte" Soave Colli Scaligeri DOC
The wine is brilliant ruby-red color.
Smooth, velvety texture in the taste of wine is set off by soft tannins and framed by a filigree frame of acidity. Lush shades of ripe berries are decorated with spicy accents and elegant woody notes. The aftertaste is very deep and long.
The young aroma of wine abounds with cherry, raspberry, blueberry, liquorice, cranberry and eucalyptus tones.
The wine is served with a duck, fried red meat, mature cheeses and first dishes with exquisite sauces.
"Castelforte" Valpolicella Superiore DOC is an elegant wine made up of a mixture of varieties, the main ones being Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara - a traditional trio used in similar wines. They were grown in the Veneto region in north-eastern Italy. Corvin's blend plays the main role, taking up its lion's share and bringing in the main cherry tones and intense fruit acidity. Rondinella adds color saturation and flavor, while Molinara creates additional tannin and acidity. The mixture is aged in oak barrels for 24 months. In 2015, the wine "Castelforte" Valpolicella Superiore was awarded the gold medal "Mundus Vini" and the bronze medal "International Wine Challenge".
Cantine Riondo was established in 1999. It is territorially located in the Soave zone and is part of the Collis Group.
