The company Millaman was founded more than one and a half centuries ago and today owns beautiful vineyards in the valley of Curico, the oldest and most prestigious wine region of Chile. The valley of Curico is the best for growing vines: because of the large amount of sun, cool breezes from the Pacific, softening the high temperatures, and also the Andean mountain system, which provides natural protection. The valley of Curico is one of the oldest and most prestigious wine regions in Chile. It was here, on the banks of the Mataquito River, in the heart of the district, at the end of the 19th century, the first buildings of the Millaman winery appeared (in translation from the ancient language of the indigenous peoples inhabiting the Curico valley, which means "Golden Eagle"). Vineyards, planted many years ago (some vines about 70 years), have excellent potential and give the opportunity to produce a wide variety of wines. Some vines reach 70 years old here, their yields are low, but they give the highest quality grapes that are used to create the most exquisite wines.
In 1999, the estate was completely renovated, and the winery is equipped with the latest equipment, making the quality of Millaman's wines even better and has gained recognition over the last decade far beyond Chile. In the last 10 years, thanks to the skillful combination of traditions and innovations, Millaman wines have achieved their greatest success and deserved fame throughout the world.
