Interesting Facts
Bunnahabhain 12 years - this is an excellent single malt whiskey, which is aged in barrels of sherry and bourbon for 12 years. This whiskey is more ease and gentleness than other whiskeys from the Isle of Islay.
Scottish brand name Bunnahabhain comes from Gallic phrase "Boon-a-havn", which literally means "river mouth", it is not surprising, since the distillery and warehouses with barrels really located right on the beach. Feature whiskey Bunnahaven is that in its production uses water from springs located on a hill and passing through the peat bogs, and therefore has no distinctive taste of peat, which is present in many local whiskey. As a result, whiskey Bunnahaven a softer light and taste than its neighbors, as well as ideal for the production on the basis of its other drinks. Most of the products Bunnahabhain distillery supplied for the production of the popular brands of whiskey, "Famous Grouse" and "Cutty Sark". But Bunnahaven successfully sells and spirits under its trademark, denying its delicate flavor myth of the rough nature of Scottish malts with peat hills.
