Interesting Facts
Alfredo Prunotto - famous winemaker, who worked for many prestigious vineyards of Italy. Its first factory "Wine Lange" he founded in 1904. He lasted until 1922. In 1923 Prunotto decided to create a company Prunotto, which concluded a contract for the purchase of the best wine in Piedmont, specializes in the production and bottling of wines of the highest quality. Prunotto fairly quickly became famous and started exporting wines around the world: in Europe, South America, and then the United States.
After 1990, when the winery was taken over by the famous Antinori family, a decision was made to produce wine, which amounted at that time already 800,000 bottles a year, of their grapes. To do this, the vineyards were acquired, including 5 acres of "Bric Turot" in Barbaresco. Bric Turot vineyard is located at an altitude of 180-300 meters above sea level on land rich elements such as manganese, zinc and boron. Vintage Bric Turot is only 2.5 tonnes per hectare, but the excellent quality of the grapes allows always elegant wine with a clear, bright structure.

Alfredo Prunotto is a renowned winemaker who has worked in many prestigious vineyards in Italy. He founded his first winery, Vina Lange, in 1904. It existed until 1922. In 1923, Prunotto decided to create the company Prunotto , which, having entered into contracts for the purchase of the best wine materials in Piedmont, specialized in the production and bottling of wines of the highest quality. Prunotto quickly became famous and began exporting wine around the world: to Europe, South America, and then the United States.
After 1990, when the Prunotto winery came into the possession of the famous Antinori family, it was decided to produce wines, the volume of which by that time amounted to 800 thousand bottles per year, from their own grapes. To achieve this, additional vineyards were purchased, equipment was updated and cellars were reconstructed. In 2000, the old 100 hectoliter oak barrels were completely replaced by 50 and 75 hectoliter barrels, which are better suited to unlock the potential of wines. The bottling line has been updated with machines with advanced technology that protects the wine from possible oxygenation, which is negative at this stage. A technically advanced machine has also been installed to seal the bottle cap and ensure maximum closure reliability.
