Reviews of purchase Bodegas Patritti, "Lassia" Pinot Noir, 2018
The wine is deep red with pinkish highlights.
The taste of the wine is perfectly balanced, has an oily texture, rich notes of ripe black berries, nuances of mocha and chocolate. The finish is long lasting, with mineral accents.
The restrained aroma of wine is gradually revealed by tones of ripe blackberries and black currants, framed by the nuances of dark chocolate.
The wine goes well with meat, especially beef, game birds, offal and cheeses.
Dry red wine "Lassia" Pinot Noir is made from Pinot Noir grapes, which are harvested exclusively from the company's vineyards. After harvesting, the grapes are sent to the winery, where they are sorted, pressed and allowed to stand at low temperatures for 2 days. The grapes are then fermented in small truncated stainless steel tanks to help improve color and tannin extraction. Wine "Lassia" Pinot Noir is aged in small oak barrels until it is ready for bottling.
Wine Lassia got its name in honor of the ancient over the ocean Pantalassia, in which the earliest forms of life were once born. At a time when severe geological cataclysms hit the Earth, a region, known today as Patagonia, Argentina, arose from the depths of Pantalassia. Lassia is a tribute to the ancient ocean from which the life and origins of the company's winemakers originated.
