Biserno - pinnacle achievements Tenuta di Biserno, estates belonging to Campo di Sasso. Wine reflects the terroir of the coastal zone and is characterized by the Upper Marrema particular depth, intensity, complexity and elegance. For this wine is selected only the best grapes from 5-6 year old vines grown on clay loose soils. Planting density is 6,500 vines per hectare. Harvesting is done by hand in 15 kg boxes.
The harvest of 2007 lasted from mid-September to early October. The grapes were crushed and sorted strictly. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats for 3-4 weeks at a controlled temperature of 28 C. For the malolactic fermentation, the wine was divided: 80% fermented in barrels, and 20% - in steel tanks. Bizerno first matured for 15 months in new French oak barrels, and then - after bottling - another 12 months in bottle. In 2007 it was produced 20,000 bottles of "Biserno". The wine has a beautiful storage capacity: 12-15 years.
Campo di Sasso estate was purchased by the Marquis Lodovico Antinori in 1995. Campo di Sasso consists of three different vineyards to the west of the road to Bolgheri. The unique geographical position of this large estate promised excellent prospects for development: a varied terroir, great climate Tuscan coast, hot sun and the freshness of the Ligurian Sea. On the basis of Campo di Sasso, Lodovico Antinori together with his older brother - the famous winemaker Piero Antinori - created company Tenuta di Biserno. Antinori invited the famous oenologist Michel Rolland, who personally manages all processes in the winery. Two wine estates - Insoglio del Cinghiale Toscana IGT and Il Pino di Biserno Toscana IGT has won great recognition among many professionals and wine lovers. In 2010, the court experts was also represented the best wine estates - Biserno Toscana IGT.
