Wine Birgit Braunstein, Chardonnay Leithaberg DAC, 2015
Reviews of purchase Birgit Braunstein, Chardonnay Leithaberg DAC, 2015
The wine is pale yellow.
The wine has an elegant, rich taste, dominated by notes of ripe fruits, nuances of apples and pears, strokes of white flowers, as well as seductive tones of minerals and light berry shades in a long, dry aftertaste.
The complex, multi-faceted aroma of wine reveals fruit shades, among which are the nuances of pear and pineapple. The bouquet is decorated with expressive half-tones of minerals and strokes of meadow grasses.
The wine is ideally combined with seafood, poultry, risotto, Parma ham and cheese. It can also be served with fresh vegetables, asparagus and light meat.
White dry wine Birgit Braunstein, Chardonnay Leithaberg DAC is created in a biodynamic way from the grapes of the Chardonnay variety grown in the Leitaberg region. Its expressive, rich taste and rich aroma are decorated with luxurious accents of minerals, which is explained by the presence of slate and limestone in the soils of the vineyards. After pressing, the wort is fermented for a month, after which it is placed in large oak barrels, where the apple-milk fermentation takes place, followed by aging, lasting 12 months.
Birgit Braunstein is an Austrian winery in Burgenland, which managed to win the recognition of wine connoisseurs not only in Austria but also abroad. In 2005, the current owner of the winery, in honor of which the company was named, received the title "Winemaker of the Year". Birgit refers to the cause of his life, not just with love, but with real passion and dedication, showing love for nature and even resigning to her strength and greatness. Having obtained a winery as an inheritance from his father, today she manifests herself both as a creator of wines and as a manager.
The vineyards of the Birgit Braunstein farm extend along the Laitagebirge. Rich in shale, limestone and quartz, soils provide an ideal base for creating exquisite terroir wines. Warm winds from the lake Neusiedler-Ze, give future wines a special maturity, and the fresh cool night air of this climatic zone guarantees their sonority, sophistication and lively character. The total area of the vineyards is 22 hectares. Annually about 100,000 bottles of wine are produced. The farm uses biodynamic methods of viticulture.
