Wine Berton Vineyards, "Outback Jack" Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, 2018

The company Berton Vineyards was founded in 1996 by Bob and Sherry Burton, when they purchased a plot of land in the High Eden, in the sub-region Barossa Valley. This - an ideal location for the vineyards, which are located on the gentle hills at an altitude of 450 meters above sea level. Bob and Sherry every spring planted cuttings of grapes - 10 hectares of Shiraz and 7 hectares of Chardonnay. In the early years of the vines was not enough soil moisture to develop rapidly, so even through they looked small dwarf trees for several years, received from one of the owners of the nickname friends "Bonsai". The name stuck and was later used for the title line of premium wines from Shiraz. In 1998 the dam was started, which allowed water and soil moisture to fully develop the vines. After that, the vineyards were complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc. In 2005 it was decided to buy a winery in New South Wales, which made it possible to process 20,000 tons of grapes annually, producing 14 million liters of wine.

From humble small company Burton Vinyards has become one of the largest wine producers in Australia, occupying the 17th place in terms of sales. Wines Burton received laudatory reviews and awards both domestically and in international competitions, through a combination of their manufacturing modern technologies and techniques of yesteryear.
