Interesting Facts
In 1962, the Rothschild family bought the estate Duhart-Milon, consisting of 110 hectares of land, of which only 17 hectares were vineyards. Then the vineyards have been implemented important engineering projects: draining, uprooting and replanting, the purchase of adjacent plots and reintegration vineyards. Were built new cellars and tanks. Today Chateau Douar-Milon has 152 hectares of land, of which 73 hectares are vineyards. The soil is a deep layer of good gravel mixed with sand. All this is on a foundation of limestone.
Wine "Baron de Milo" - a member of the collection "Great wines." This is a very decent wine. Created by technology mixing different grapes, it differs from its more expensive relative residence time in barrels. Potential aging small, so it is better to use as long as it younger. The wine is aged 10 months in oak barrels of two years.
