Reviews of purchase August Weinhof, "Madonna Antik" Liebfraumilch
Wine of light yellow color.
The taste of wine is elegant and delicate. Its main virtue is harmony. Fruit notes endow lightness and charm with a short aftertaste that ends with a barely perceptible bitterness.
A delicate, delicate aroma of wine consists exclusively of shades of fresh white fruit.
Wine fits well with white meat dishes, poultry meat and cheeses.
Semi-sweet wine August Weinhof, "Madonna Antik" Liebfraumilch - the child of his homeland, the German region of Rheinhessen. It was here that wines were born in the style of "Liebfraumilch", often called "the milk of a beloved woman", but in a literal translation it sounds like "the virgin's milk", referring to the Virgin Mary. This gentle wine from natural ingredients has a very affordable price. It is poured into a traditional bottle of blue glass for such wines.
The production of wine in the company Peter Mertes takes place under the strict supervision of professional winemakers who follow the collection of grapes, assess the degree of its maturity and carefully select only the best quality berries. Vinification is carried out in stainless steel containers, and after filtration and stabilization, the wine must be subjected to a laboratory test in order to determine its organoleptic characteristics. Only after the completion of the laboratory study the wine is bottled and enters the open sale.
Peter Mertes is a family wine production, created in 1924 by a man named Peter Mertes. Originally it was a small winery in the village of Mintheim on the Moselle. In 1950, his son Gustave Willcom actively studied the regions along the Rhine - Oppenheim, Bingen, Mainz. And already in 1960, the family acquired the sites in the Rheingau and Nae.
To date, Peter Mertes has a central office in Bernkastel-Kues, many vineyards throughout Germany, the largest wine cellar in the country and employs more than 300 professional staff.
