Reviews of purchase "Almaviva", 2014
The wine is deep, intense and attractive ruby-red color.
Taste wine generous, elegant and well balanced, with round, concentrated and purified tannins that highlight the ripe fruit tones. The finish is long and thick.
Aromatic bouquet of wine is clean and open, with notes of blackberry, black currant and licorice, which are complemented by nuances of vanilla, dark chocolate, incense and spices.
Nice wine to enjoy both in pure form and in a pair with game, duck, meat pate and red meat. It also served to mellow flavored cheeses such as Roquefort and Gorgonzola.

However, low temperature growth slowed again October grapes (Cabernet Sauvignon). This summer was hotter and drier than the previous two. Tying vines began 10 days earlier. March was a particularly hot. Harvest was two weeks earlier than you expect. Start gathering the grapes from the 15th of March and the end - 18 May. Wine stood in French oak barrels for 19 months.

This is evidenced by the worldwide popularity not only wine, but also high marks from the most eminent critics, because since its launch in 1996 "Almaviva" has not received evaluation below 90 points and won a gold medal at the prestigious competition such as "Wine Challenge "in 1997. Today guilt "Almaviva" Categorised Primer Orden, which is the equivalent of the French Grand Cru.
The entire production process "Almaviva" carried out in Puente Alto, where the famous Chilean architect Martin Hurtado in 1998 the winery was built, recognized as the ideal in terms of aesthetic design and functionality. It is here that due to the complicated manufacturing process, comprising a double fermentation and aging for 18 months in new French oak barrels, and is born a great "Almaviva." One of the interesting features of "Almaviva" is that each of its vintage is unique and has individual character, as the annual percentage change oenologists grapes belonging to blend wines.
