Reviews of purchase Allram, Gruner Veltliner "Eiswein", Kamptal DAC, 375 ml
The wine is shiny golden color.
The wine has a fresh, keen, but intense taste with excellent acidity, which is perfectly combined with sweetness. The taste reveals notes of caramel and warm spices (cinnamon, cloves, white pepper).
In the aroma of wine, bright notes of pear and apricot are woven with elegant honey nuances.
The wine is perfectly combined with sorbet, fruit ice cream, desserts and blue cheese.
Gruner Veltliner "Eiswein" is a white sweet wine made from grape variety Grüner Veltliner, grown on the vineyard "Hazel", about which winemakers have long been saying: "The vine-growers without" Khazel "will never have a wife." The name "Khazel" was granted to the vineyard many years ago, after numerous hazelnut shrubs were found in the area. The characteristics of the soil are the result of exposure to dry and cold climates. Because of the impact of glaciers, which create high pressure on the ground, particles of quartz, limestone, mica and clay were crushed. These loess soils retain deep reservoirs with moisture and rarely suffer from dehydration. The heart of the vineyard is the "Middel-Hazel", where the crop is grown to create the Grüner Veltliner "Hazel". From the grapes of this part of "Khazel" always produced good quality wine. It is here that the strongest and most resistant grapevines thrive - very mature Grüner Veltliner, Grauburgunder and Chardonnay. Wines "Hazel" have a harmonious combination of strength, saturation, aroma and elegance.
The name Eiswein means "ice wine". It is made from overripe grapes, frozen in the vine. The grapes are collected manually in October at a temperature of -12 ° C and gently squeezed in the frozen state for 7 hours. Vinification is carried out at strictly controlled low temperature. Fermentation in steel vats lasts 3 months, after which the wine is kept in them for a short time. The storage potential of Grüner Veltliner "Aiswain" is 20-30 years.
The Allram Manor is located in the heart of the wine region of Kamptal, in the picturesque location of Stras im Strassertal. The winery belongs to the producers, who managed to gain a foothold on the top of Austrian viticulture for decades of consistent high-quality work. In 1992, Michaela Haas-Allram took up the business of her parents and since then she works at the winery together with her husband Erich Haas. To ensure optimal working conditions, Erich Haas and his son Lorenz share responsibilities in the vineyard and in the cellar. Mikaela is responsible for the commercial side of the business. The creative element belongs to the daughter of Magdalene. Mikaela's father, Walter Allram, still works in the vineyards and knows every vine, even the oldest. A modern three-story basement with excellent old wooden barriques and the attributes of a traditional winery, such as a show room with the opportunity to taste drinks, create the perfect balance between ancient traditions and tomorrow.
The philosophy of the Allram family is reflected in the characteristics of their wines. The mission of the company is the production of organic high-quality products by combining knowledge of generations and using the latest technologies. The Allram family strives to develop wines that reflect the specific crop, terroir and the special microclimate of the Camptal, so that the subtle nuances of each individual vineyard can be savored while enjoying the multi-layered uniqueness of the drinks. The quality of vineyards and vines is the main strength of Allrham, and this is supplemented by a deep understanding, born of traditions, intuition and an open approach to the world.
The love and passion of winemakers for their work makes it possible to produce wonderful wines with an individual character. They are world famous and praised - not least thanks to the perfect merchandising of the qualified economist Mikaela. Excellent work of wine growers is annually celebrated with national and international awards.
