The wine is straw yellow.
The taste of wine is fresh, fruity, harmonious, smooth, with notes of white fruits and minerals in a subtle aftertaste.
Pure aroma of the wine consists of notes of ripe yellow apples, spring flowers, tropical fruits and minerals.
Wine is recommended to serve as an aperitif, accompanied by white meat dishes, grilled fish, rabbit, turkey, seafood and a variety of cheeses.
White dry wine Al-Cantara, "Luci Luci" Etna Bianco DOC is made from Carricante grapes grown in the valley between Mount Etna and the Nebrodi mountains. Vineyards with soils of volcanic origin are located at an altitude of 620 meters above sea level. Harvesting is done by hand in mid-September. At the winery, the berries are pressed into whole clusters, followed by decantation of the wort for two days. Fermentation in steel tanks is carried out at a temperature of 12-14 ° C for 15 days. Wine is aged also in steel tanks for 12 months, and after bottling another 6 months in a bottle.
They say that good wine is poetry, but in order to make it, you need to have skill and be able to create works of art. Al-Cantara’s philosophy fully divides this statement. Despite its youth, the company has established itself both nationally and internationally due to the high quality of its wines.
The company is named after the river, which on the slopes of Etna is bordered by the Feudo S. Anastasia district in Randazzo, where the company has placed its cellars. The name "Al-Kantara" , which in Arabic means "bridge", not only emphasizes the connection with the Sicilian land, but becomes a symbol of the union between wine, art and poetry. It is not by chance that all the names of the wines are inspired by the verses of Sicilian authors such as Nino Martollo, Micho Tempio, Giovanni Meli, Salvatore di Pietro, Alfio Antico and Francesco Guglielmino.
Own vineyards of the winery, an area of about 20 hectares, are on the lands of Sicily and Etna, which is assigned the category of DOC and IGP. Wine is made only from grapes harvested in their own areas. The company gives preference to local varieties (Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio and Carricante), but does not ignore international varieties (Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon). Etna's volcanic soil, rich in minerals, gives these wines an absolutely unique taste and aroma.
