Interesting Facts
Wine "Organistrum", named after the ancient musical string instrument, made from grapes Albariño, grown in the southwest region of Rias Baixas at an altitude of 110 meters above sea level. The grapes from this area usually ripens earlier than the rest of the region. Upon completion of primary fermentation, the wine "Organistrum" placed in French Allier oak barrels of 300, 400 and 500 liters, which hosts a secondary malolactic fermentation for 3-4 months. Kept the wine in stainless steel tanks for 8 months. Winemaker Luciano Amoedo decided to use oak barrels from Allier in order to maintain the excellent characteristics of high-quality wine, giving it a light, fragrant wood nuances. Bodegas Martin Kodaks, named in homage to the famous in the XIII century Galician musician and poet Martin Kodaksu, founded in 1986 in the small town of Cambados, which is located in the valley of Salnés - in the heart of the Galician Rías Baixas. Bodegac specializes in the production of white wines Albarino grape, which is characterized by fruity floral richness and extraordinary freshness. In good Albarino wine is always a shade of mineral and honey tones, developing over time. In the production of wines using only their own grapes grown in vineyards with a total area of 190 hectares. For the region to Rias Baixas is an astronomical figure, since most winegrowers work on sites ranging in size from 2 to 10 hectares. The winery of Adegas Tollodouro , founded in 2000, is located in the Rias Baixas area. The area of the vineyards is 52 hectares, the soils are made up of sand and granite. Vineyards use organic methods for growing vines, harvesting is done manually for each grape variety. The plant is equipped with modern equipment, which allows to control every stage of wine production. The cellar is designed for 400,000 liters of wine.
Adegas Tollodouro's products are popular with local people, and more recently they are exported to many countries in Europe and to Russia.
