Whiskey is characterized by a pale golden color with a yellowish tinge.
The taste of whiskey light and delicate, with notes of sweet, lemon sherbet, pineapple, crunchy green apples and biscuits, which are complemented by nuances of pine forest. The finish is clean, light, refreshing.
In the aromatic bouquet of whiskey present tones of vanilla, marshmallow and biscuit, which are complemented by hints of fresh pineapples, citrus fruits and candies.
Experts recommend to use whiskey as a digestif, with a small amount of ice or water.
Jim Murray in his famous "Whisky Bible" ("Whisky Bible"), estimating a drink at 94.5 / 100 points, wrote about Tomatin, "Legacy": "Every sip of the drink is endowed with rare qualities appetizing ... want to gasp with pleasure." Also, whiskey was awarded a gold medal in 2014 at the "San Francisco World Spirits Competition" and a silver medal in 2013 at the "International Wine & Spirits Competition".
Tomatin Distillery was built in 1897 in the mountains Monadhliath, just south of Inverness, the capital of Highlands of Scotland. Tomatin is one of the highest distilleries in Scotland, because it is located at an altitude of 315 meters above sea level. Historically Tomatin was producing malt for companies engaged in the manufacture of whiskey blends, but now the company is focused on creating high-quality single malt whiskey. The product line consists of 12, 18, 25, 30 and 40-year-old whiskey and some numbered vintages. Tomatin is also one of the few plants in Scotland, which have retained their cooperage.
