Royal Lochnagar Distillery is located near the royal summer residence Baomoral, which is located in Aberdeenshire on the banks of the River Dee. The first distillery was built in 1826, it was called Lochnagar, but after a fire in 1845 built a new distillery, which was called New Lochnagar. Permission to use the word in the title of «Royal» (Royal) distillery was after a visit in 1848 by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Later whiskey distilleries Royal Lochnagar became available to the court at one time he was the most expensive in Scotland and enjoyed great popularity in the East.
