French cognac "Marnier" VSOP is an assemblage consisting of 50% of the alcohols derived from Petite Champagne and 50% of the alcohol from the Grande Champagne. The basis of the soil in these regions - limestone. Age of vines varies from 4 to 50 years. Crop harvested in October. All Cognacs that are part of the drink, carefully selected after distillation in copper pot stills, and keep not less than 5 years in French oak barrels, where they get rich aroma and woody notes. In 1827, Jean-Bastist Lapostol founded a factory for the production of fruit liqueurs with cognac. In 1876, his granddaughter married Louis Marnier, the son of a prominent family of winemakers.
