Liquor "Mandarine Napoleon" was created by Antoine-François de Fourcroy, chemist and politician who received the title of Count of the Empire of Napoleon. Mandarins were brought to Europe from China in the late XVIII century and is in France exotic fruits. They are particularly well grown on the island of Corsica, birthplace of Napoleon. Furkrua invented mandarins insist on alcohol, and the resulting extract add brandy. Napoleon liked the new drink, and he is often invited by Antoine-Francois share with him a glass of this delicious liqueur. Thus was born "Mandarine Napoleon".
