Czech brewery Mestansky pivovar is located in the town of Havlickuv Brod, where brewing engaged in the XIV century. Initially flourished small private brewery, which eventually merged, expanded and turned into a fairly large company. Mestansky pivovar brewery was established in 1834. By the end of the XIX century the products of this brewery has been very popular, but in the days of communism brewery was expropriated and has been divided between the three breweries: "Horacky Breweries Jihlava", "Havlickuv Brod" and the East-Czech brewery "Hradec Kralove". After the Velvet Revolution Brewery once again became an independent company. At present, the annual production capacity is 84,000 hectoliters.
At the insistence of the inhabitants of the city at the factory museum was opened beer, which are carefully kept brewing traditions of the region and the recipes of all kinds produced in beer.
