In 1884, Paul Jones, Jr. launched a thriving business in Louisville, Kentucky. He opened an office in the historic district of Main Street, giving him the name of Whiskey Row ("Whiskey Road"). Four years later he patented the name of the Four Roses, output in the spirit of the 60s of the XIX century - during which time sales have increased significantly bourbon, and Four Roses became well-known brand. In 1922, Paul Jones Company was purchased by one of the six manufacturers of bourbon, which was given permission to produce whiskey for medicinal purposes - Frankfort Distilling Company. During the possession of Four Roses brand new owner changed its name to the Four Roses Kentucky Straight Bourbon. In 1943, the right to a new brand was sold to Seagram and then the sale of the American whiskey entered the European and Asian markets. The last owner of the trademark Four Roses was the company Kirin Brewery Company, Ltd., purchased the rights to the brand in February 2002.
