Light lager "Faxe" Premium is made from hops, malt and melt water obtained from its own sources with underground coral reefs located at a depth of 80 meters and owned brewery. Beer has a slight, but clear enough flavor with bright pronounced hop notes.
Faxe Brewery was founded in 1901 under the name Fakse Dampbryggeri spouses and St. Nicholas Conrad Nielsen. After Conrad's death in 1914, a young widow continued with great success running the company, renamed Faxe Bryggeri. In the late 1920s, the company supplied the beer and carbonated soft drinks in most parts of Denmark - on the island of Zealand, Lolland, Falster and Copenhagen.
In the 30s there was a problem of water shortage, and the company drilled a well with underground water, which the plant uses to this day. In 1945, St. Nicholas handed the reins of the company formed a partnership headed by her three sons. In 1956, the plant became a joint stock company and has expanded significantly in the period from 1956 to 1960.
In 1960, the grandson of St. Nicholas - Bride Bent Nielsen became head of Faxe Bryggeri, which further expanded production, launch new products and introduced a new marketing and sales methods. Faxe gradually became one of the fastest growing breweries in Denmark. In 1980, Faxe made major investments in production facilities of beer, sales and marketing, and their beer has become very popular with Germans and Swedes.
Proved successful and created Fax Project "Condi" which today remains the leading brand of soft drinks in Denmark. "Condi" was developed in 1971 in collaboration with Knud Lundberg, a sports physician and a football star.
In 1989, Faxe Bryggeri merged with Jyske Bryggerier to form the second largest brewing company in Denmark, now known as Royal Unibrew. In 1997-98 Faxe has once again been extended, getting a new building with a modern cellar with tanks, which can store up to 600,000 liters, as well as a new bottling line that produces 90 000 cans per hour. A year later launched the high-tech and fully automated multi-storey warehouse for 18,500 pallets.
