"Contraste" Red - red dry wine created from a mixture of the traditional region of Douro grape varieties - Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca. Due to sufficient dry climate all year round, grapes, despite the slow maturation, reaches optimum maturity and fine acidity. The vines grow on layered soils. Harvested by hand with 40-year-old vines in small boxes. Desteblirovaniyu and berries are milled, followed by fermentation for one week under a constant temperature controlled pumping wort. 70% mash aged in previously used barrels of French oak, and 30% - in stainless steel tanks for 18 months. The volume of wine production is about 80 000 bottles per year.
Conceito Winery was founded by a young and very talented oenologist Rita Marques Ferreira (Rita Marques Ferreira). The main part of the vineyards owned by the winery, was planted in the 1940s. For a long time the family grew grapes for sale to wholesale manufacturers. In 2008, Rita received a degree of the candidate of oenology and came to his parents' business. With its bold and innovative ideas, she decided to create his own production of wine. Later, Rita has expanded the family business by opening a new economy in the region of Marlborough in New Zealand. The estate has three vineyards in the valley Teja total area of 83 hectares: Quinta da Veiga, Quinta do Chao-do-Pereiro and Quinta do Cabido, as well as the vineyard area of 10 hectares in the upper part of the valley, which is only used for the production of white wines.
