History of Wine House Avignonesi began in the second half of the XVI century, when the architect's drawings Jacopo Barozzi was built a beautiful palace Palazzo Avignonesi in Montepulciano. In his cellar wine barrels "Vino Nobile", belonging to the family of Avignonesi. Several centuries later, in 1974, the company has experienced considerable change - control winery passed three brothers Fulvia by which Avignonesi become a strong player in the Italian wine market, and has become one of the largest landowners in the region with more than 250 hectares of lands, of which 225 ha were placed under the vineyards.
The main activity of the company is focused on the production of Avignonesi powerful red wines "Vino Nobile", which brought fame to the wine house. Avignonesi also produces a small amount of sweet wine "Vin Santo" - one of the best in its class. Apart from the traditional to the region of Montalcino wines, the company produces wine Supertuscan: "Desiderio" grape varieties Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, "50 & 50" from Sangiovese and Merlot, as well as white wine "Il Marzocco" of Chardonnay.
